UWS, one of Scotland’s largest modern universities, aims to have a transformational influence on the economic, social and cultural development of the West of Scotland, and beyond, by providing relevant, high quality, inclusive higher education and innovative and useful research. We aim to make the communities we serve more successful and to create opportunities for all to participate.
With four campuses across the west and south-west of Scotland at Ayr, Dumfries, Paisley and our new Lanarkshire campus, UWS has a distinctive and important regional role. However, UWS is also an international university with some 1700 international students drawn from 1/3 of the globe and over 100 international partners.
To help extend our international reach, appeal and objectives we opened our fifth campus in London in 2015 to act as a dynamic delivery hub for international students wanting to study Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral degrees in either Business or Health disciplines.
Across the campuses we offer a wide range of academic, social and sporting facilities and deliver a range of taught courses, Postgraduate Diplomas & Masters and research degrees. The University has five academic schools: Business and Enterprise; Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences; Education; Health and Life Sciences;
