Internationality, practical relevance and an integrative approach have characterised education at the  University of St.Gallen (HSG)  ever since it was established in 1898. Today, we educate more than 9,500 students in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Social Sciences, International Affairs and Computer Science. With success: according to current rankings, the HSG is among Europe’s leading business universities. The Financial Times recognised the University of St.Gallen in its 2022 ranking of European business schools as one of the best in Europe, bringing it up to fifth position. The HSG has the distinction of being the leading business university both in Switzerland and in the German-speaking region. Our integrative education with high academic standards has earned us international seals of approval including EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditation. Our students, too, appreciate the HSG: about 90 per cent of graduates would choose the HSG again.

The University of St.Gallen is an international centre for thought leadership, widening horizons and fostering relations with a wide variety of countries and foreign cultures. The dialogue with students with more than 120 nationalities provides a wealth of international experience in St.Gallen. We encourage our students to enrich their education with international experience in specific ways and offer various opportunities for this, including the renowned CEMS-MIM programme.
