Established in 1981, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) is located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Yogyakarta (also recognized as Yogya or Jogja) in the middle of Java Island.

However, English is used for international classes including: International Relations (IPIREL), Law & Sharia (IPOLS), Islamic Economics & Finance (IPIEF), Government Affairs and Administration (IGOV), Accounting (IPAcc), Management and Business (IMaBs), Islamic Communication (IPICOM), and Communication Studies (IP-Cos).
