Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele is a vibrant and acclaimed University based in Milan, the most populous and International city in Italy.
The mission of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University is to answer the question Quid est homo? (What is Man?) strongly believing that the human kind is biologically, psychologically and spiritually unique, hence the creation of the three faculties. The teaching and practice of humanistic medicine are central to San Raffaele's mission. It is recognized as provider of exceptional primary care and attracts patients, faculty and students from all over the world. It is a private non per profit organization born in 1996.
The University campus now includes a Medical School, a School of Psychology and a School of Philosophy, an Internationally recognized Research Institute, and a Science Park, allowing for unsurpassed interaction. In addition, the University is affiliated with San Raffaele Hospital, a part of the San Donato Group, Italy's leading Hospital group, and has 30 Medical Specialization Schools within.
San Raffaele is considered the leading Scientific Care Institution as per volume and scientific research in Italy: The publications of 2022 amount to 2081 with a total impact factor of 11733. Scientific Research of the San Raffaele comes from the work done in a number of divisions, institutes, and research centers operating in all biomedical research areas and occupying over 130,000 square meters. There are numerous collaborations with leading international research centers that have helped put the San Raffaele to the global forefront of biomedical research.
Students from all over the world are welcome to San Raffaele. The University offers undergraduate, graduate and single-cycle courses in Italian within the three faculties. It also offers three English taught courses, the International MD Program , a six-year MD degree course, the Msc in Cognitive Psychology in Health Communication and the Msc in Biotechnology and Medical Biology . Master programs and PhD courses are also offered in English.
The University has two Student Halls allowing International Students to have a place to stay on campus. The UniSR International Office is the referent for any aspect of the International Student's life while in San Raffaele.
The university's two campuses - Campus Via Olgettina and Campus Segrate 2 - are conveniently located just 7 minutes apart by walking.
