Located in Paraguay’s capital city of Asunción is Universidad Americana, one of the largest private higher education establishments in the country. With its two additional teaching facilities located in Ciudad del Este – the second largest city in the nation – and Encarnación – Paraguay’s third largest city, the university is recognized on a national and international scale for its service to higher education since its establishment in 1991.

There are three faculties at the university, including the Faculty of Communication Arts and Science of Technology, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences, which all offer both on- and off-campus learning modalities at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The University’s faculty is made up of national and international lecturers and professors who all contribute to the development and creation of local and international modules for students to study.

The Universidad Americana has international agreements with other prestigious higher education institutions all over the world in order to promote student mobility, offer double international qualifications and international practices, as well as maintain the development of research in networks and joint extension projects.

The main language of instruction at Universidad Americana is Spanish. However, students will be required to complete an English language learning course in which they will graduate with an intermediate level of English proficiency.
