Tashkent State Pedagogical University, named after the great Azerbaijani poet and educator, Nizami, is one of the most popular higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The university was founded in 1935 as a pedagogical institute. On February 24 1998 the institute was granted the status of a university.  

TSPU is one of the top public universities in Uzbekistan. It is ranked joint 41st in the QS Asian University Rankings - Central Asia 2023.  

The university is located in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, which is the largest city in central Asia. Tashkent is home to many tourist landmarks and attractions, including the Old City. Students can also explore the city’s green parks as well as a variety of cuisine from around the world.
