Symbiosis International (Deemed University) offers doctoral, post graduate, under graduate, diploma and certificate programmes in Law, Management, Computer Studies, Medical, Health Sciences, Media & Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering and Architecture & Design. The University has established research centres in various domains which include the Symbiosis Centre for Advance and Legal Studies, Symbiosis Centre for Waste Resource Management, Symbiosis Centre for Stem Cell Research, Symbiosis Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Symbiosis Center for Medical Image Analysis, Symbiosis Centre for Behavioural Studies, Symbiosis Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence, Symbiosis Centre for Research on International Higher Education, Symbiosis Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability, Symbiosis Centre for Urban Studies, Symbiosis Centre for Ambedkar Studies and the Symbiosis Centre for Research in Media and Creative Industries in past few years. These Research Centres are led by the researchers of repute in respective disciplines and are being developed as the Centres of Excellence of the future.
In India the University has been awarded Category-I status by University Grants Commission, and an ‘A++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It is ranked at #32 in the Indian Rankings by National Institutional. Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 under the Universities Category. Internationally, The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2023 has ranked the University amongst the top 800 – 1000 Universities in the World, with 437th Citation Rank Globally and 23rd in India in the Overall category. THE World University Rankings 2023 by Subject has ranked the university in the 401-500 band in Social Sciences, in the 501-600 band in Business & Economics, in the 501-600 band in Accounting & Finance, in the 401-500 band in Computer Science and in the 601-800 band in Engineering.
The University has established the Symbiosis Medical College for Women and its attached Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre which have state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities.
