Coventry University is a long-standing provider of education in England, with roots as far back as the Coventry College of Design in 1843. In 1970, Coventry College of Art amalgamated with Lanchester College of Technology and Rugby College of Engineering Technology to form Lanchester Polytechnic, which was later renamed Coventry Polytechnic. In 1992 it became Coventry University, a forward-thinking, modern university proud of its long tradition of high-quality teaching and applied research.
